John Barney has over 20 years of experience handling a variety of legal matters for clients. His practice is focused on real estate, commercial and intellectual property transactions as well as litigation in both state and federal courts in Tennessee and Florida. He has extensive jury and non-jury trial experience in corporate, business, entertainment, insurance, and personal injury/defective product litigation. He also has been successful in a number of appellate cases and has been certified as class counsel in several nationwide class action cases against major auto finance companies for discriminatory lending practices, all of which resulted in excellent results for the class members.
Mr. Barney is also a Tennessee Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator.

Tom Boylan is a founding partner of Barney & Boylan, PLLC. He maintains an active practice, handling a broad range of civil litigation matters, such as transportation law, contractual disputes, divorce, landlord/tenant law and business law. He has worked extensively in the area of residential and commercial construction, representing homeowners, builders, contractors, and developers.
Mr. Boylan is admitted to practice in all Tennessee state courts as well as in the Federal Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association's construction law section and the Williamson County Bar Association.
He earned his J.D. from the Nashville School of Law in 2012, and his B.S. from Middle Tennessee State University, where he was a distinguished student, receiving top honors and placement on the Dean's List.
